As a Healthcare Assistant on a surgical ward, I provide essential support with personal care, patient observations, and mobility, drawing on my previous experience in mental health, general nursing care, and end-of-life support. I work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort.
What I enjoy most is knowing my patients are reassured and well cared for — making patients happy makes me happy, and seeing them comfortable and smiling is the most rewarding part of my role.
